Computer Education
Computer Education initiates our young students into the captivating world of computing, and introduces them to its wide and ever increasing range of applications.
We commence computer education from lower classes itself. We make sure that high end machines are available for each child. Our computer lab occupies three rooms with 25 computers.
Amrita Learning – Computer based Adaptive Assessment and Learning Program
Developed in research collaboration with Amrita University, Amrita Learning’s unique educational software adapts assessment and instruction based on child’s response. As the system assesses the child, it also considers what the child needs to know, which part of the curriculum is to be taught or tested next, and how to present the material.

Science and Math Labs
Our Amrita Vidyalayam has well equipped science labs, and we focus mainly on hands-on practical work so that students may get a better insight into scientific theories. This enhances the inherent inquisitiveness of the student and energizes him to examine uncharted paths.
We have three science labs, one each for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In these labs, we have the most modern scientific equipment and teaching aids which reflect the high standard of education set by us.
Our Math lab, a fresh concept in the educational field, helps students to understand mathematical principles through exercises, models and teaching aids.
Library
Our library is large and has a large collection of books on a wide variety of subjects. In addition to this, we also have rare reference books that help to enhance the knowledge of the students.
Our school promotes reading, and encourages students to cultivate a reading habit which in turn can help them to augment their knowledge and language skills.
Sports
Physical fitness is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Sports provide an excellent opportunity for our students to stay fit and develop team spirit and friendship among other things.
The school has taken great care to ensure that all sports requirements are met and our children are benefitted by the same. We have one room for sports related activities and have provision for indoor games such as carrom, table tennis and chess. Ample facilities for outdoor games such as cricket, football, volley ball, kho-kho, and handball are available; we have a nice football ground.
Transportation
Our school has a well developed transportation facility that is available to both students and staff.
We have a fleet of 17 buses that connect the school to various selected locations across the town and its outskirts.
Other Facilities and Provisions
Our school building has 1 room each for the Principal and school office, and three staff rooms. We have a TV room, and one separate auditorium for cultural activities. Overall, there are 53 classrooms, 3 science labs, 1 math lab, 1 library, a computer lab occupying 3 rooms with 25 computers, 2 E-Learning labs with 25 systems each and restricted free internet browsing facility, 1 examination room, 1 drawing room, 1 resting room, 1 music room, 3 work experience rooms, 1 conference room and 1 sports room.
The school has 24-hour uninterrupted water supply and power supply with backup provisions. Separate treated drinking water supply is available. The best, hygienic and separate sanitation facilities for girls and boys are available.
First aid is available in the campus itself, and higher medical facilities are available nearby.
Dr. Mahesh Kund, Faculty, Amrita School of Ayurveda, conducts regular counselling sessions for our students. Senior professors from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, give career guidance for students from class IX upwards.
Our morning prayers, meditation sessions, Gita chanting, etc. are all aimed at quietening the mind. Students are trained to respect their teachers and elders. Our educational environment enriches the students’ moral and social values.
The nearest bus and railway stations are at Karunagapally, about 3 km from the school. The nearest airport is the Trivandrum International Airport, about 100 km away.
