Amrita Vidyalayam, Puthiyakavu won III Prize in All Kerala interschool Matrubhumi daily – Seed (Student Empowerment for Environmental Development) competition. We are proud to have a wide variety of medicinal plants in our campus, planted and taken care of by our students.
Our students under the leadership of one Western renunciate, Ms. Vedavathi and our faculty members take keen interest in garbage disposal. We have a compost pit for all food waste and students themselves sort the waste every day.
A big group of our students, motivated by Amma’s concept of ABC, prepare skits, role plays, etc related to environment protection and present them regularly during morning assesmbly!
