International Mother Language Day which is observed to promote awareness about linguistic and cultural diversity as well as multilingualism was celebrated at our school. The importance of our Mother Language Malayalam was exemplified by kavitha parayanam by our Malayalam teacher Pushpalatha Ma, speeches by language teachers and Malayalam poem recitation by primary students. Through all these activities, the need to preserve our mother tongue which is a symbol of our identity was exhorted and emphasized.
