The most auspicious of all celebrations of the Amrita family, Gurupoornima, was successfully carried out under the guidance of Bri. Bindhu Ma, respected Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam, Changanassery. The event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by Guru Paduka pooja. The prayer filled atmosphere also witnessed the Samskriti Pooja where parents and children together embraced the bliss of the function. It was a blessed occasion for all the parents to be honoured by their own children as God. Only in this great land do we foster such traditions as worshiping our parents and elders! This love and respect for their parents is reinforced in the children’s minds through Samskriti pooja.
